Les Menuires calls itself "The Smile of the Alps" after the arc of the main building.

Val-Thorens, the highest elevation ski resort in the Alps, altitude, with a base at 1,850 meters (6,084.65 ft).

Though not as pretty as some of the European Ski resort but Les Menuires has its now novel way to charm travelers. Each quarter is within easy access of the 45-lift system that can move more than 50,000 skiers an hour up and onto 160 kilometers (80 miles) of pistes spread over 5,600 hectares (1,400 acres).

The various destinations point in Les Menuires are, La Croisette, the resort center, La Croisette, Here you can ambled down to the central shopping mall and below the bus station acts as the village's transportation hub. Besides the station, the new sports center provides an excellent indoor swimming pool for families.

The area of Preyerand is across the valley, is filled with apartments for both visitors and local workers.

Reberty-Les Bruyeres and Reberty is the newer up-valley satellite sections which are concentrated on smaller buildings built in community clusters.

The village of St. Martin de Belleville with its Baroque churches and pastoral aura is 8 km. down-valley from Les Menuires. It is now connected with the entire Trois Vallées area with convenient lifts.
