Normandy Beach

Normandy Beach

Normandy will recall its 60th anniversary of the Dooms-day (D-day) in June 2004. Normandy beach was the battleground shredded with blood and dying soldiers when the US army entered through the Normandy Beach in 1944. More than 30,000 soldiers and over 20,000 civilians died during that decisive war of the century.

All that is now in the back of the mind of Normandy people. Normandy is a prosperous city marked by fishing harbors and seaside resorts. Several museums and cemeteries through the area honor those who died for the war of humanity. Several picturesque locations make Normandy worth a watch if you are in France.
